On September 20th, 2023, Hefei hosted the Talent Matching Conference of the TongXinHaiChuang Program at the World Manufacturing Convention. The event was sponsored by the United Front Work Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA), and received strong support from a series of organizations. At this event, Mr. Stephen Jin, CEO of iStarChip Semiconductor signed a cooperation agreement with the Qiaomengyuan in Hefei, announcing the establishment of a research and development center in Hefei in order to inject new vitality into the development of iStarChip.

At the conference, Zhang Ximing, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Anhui Provincial Committee, Minister of the United Front Work Department, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the Anhui Provincial Political Consultative Conference, delivered an important speech. He stated that Anhui is actively building a “4+10” trillion-yuan industrial system, focusing on the development of ten emerging industries, among which strategic emerging industries’ output value accounts for over 40% of the industrial output value at and above designated size. Their total output value and quality are already among the best in the country. In the speech by Zhang Yong, the Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Anhui Province, he expressed optimism about the future development of the Chinese automobile industry. He believes that China’s breakthroughs in areas such as intelligent driving, new energy vehicles, and internet+ automobiles are impressive, and the government’s strong support will bring more opportunities for innovation and development in the auto industry.
