With the commercialization and large-scale popularization of intelligent connected vehicles, the possibility of vehicle attacks is increasing due to the fact that automotive networking, software, and data have been further developed, and the network security risks and threats are increasingly prominent. Many countries and regions around the world are accelerating the formulation and improvement of regulations and standards related to vehicle information security, which poses new requirements for vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.
In order to effectively address the challenges of automotive cyber-security compliance, iStarChip Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. recently successfully held a training conference on ISO/SAE 21434 International Standard for Automotive Cyber-security.
As one of the members of the committee involved in the development of the ISO/SAE 21434 standard, an expert appointed by TÜV Rheinland Germany provided comprehensive and systematic training to the iStarChip team on automotive cyber-security. Personnel related to automotive cybersecurity from various divisions and subsidiaries of iStarChip in China participated in the training.
During the conference, Mr. Stephen Jin, CEO of iStarChip Semiconductor, had an intense discussion with the expert and made an in-depth analysis of the ISO/SAE 21434 standards.
The purpose of the training was to assist the company in understanding and mastering the knowledge of vehicle network security risk management, to have a profound understanding of threat analysis and risk assessment, security concepts, security specifications, as well as the relevance of verification and confirmation throughout the entire product life cycle. Mr. Stephen Jin, CEO of iStarChip, expressed that the training was just a beginning and iStarChip will establish a professional and powerful cybersecurity team, cultivate the company’s cyber-security culture, implement cyber-security standards during the product development process, and constantly improve the security performance of products.
