We are proud to announce that iStarChip Semiconductor has officially become a pioneer member of the Shanghai Automotive Chip Industry Alliance (SACIA), embarking on a journey of jointly promoting the rise of domestic chips with industry elites.

The Shanghai Automotive Chip Industry Alliance (SACIA) was jointly established in February 2023 by more than 40 enterprises including SAIC, UAES, HUADA Semiconductor, and HHGrace, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and communication among enterprises and jointly promoting the rapid development of the automotive chip industry. As one of the first official members, iStarChip’s accession to SACIA will inject new vitality.

It is worth mentioning that after the establishment of the Alliance, SAIC immediately offered 49 high-computing power and high-specification automotive chips that urgently needed joint research and development, and sought for the feasibility of domestic substitution. This measure demonstrates SAIC’s strong determination and open attitude towards the localization of automotive chips. In response to this challenge from SAIC, iStarChip and other members of SACIA also gave a positive response. Most of the chips were classified as “discussable,” which fully demonstrates the cooperation and trust within the industry, greatly boosting industry confidence.

iStarChip has always been focusing on localization of the China’s self-controlled automotive-grade secure chip, with rich experience and excellent technical strength in the field of automotive chips. After joining the Shanghai Automotive Chip Industry Alliance, iStarChip will work together with all parties to promote the healthy development of China’s automotive chip industry and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of China’s automotive industry.
