The electronica South China, as an important exhibition in the electronics industry, recently opened in Shenzhen, attracting top companies and the latest technologies from around the world. iStarChip Semiconductor was honored to be invited to participate in this grand event and share our cutting-edge thinking in the field of automotive electronics technology at the International Automotive Electronics Technology Innovation Forum.
Zhou Jingzhao, Automotive Application Director of Research and Development at iStarChip Semiconductor, gave a detailed introduction on the technology concept of our new generation automotive E/E architecture, which started from the core chip in his speech. With the continuous development of intellectualization, electrification, and networking trends, traditional architectures have been unable to meet the performance, safety, and intelligence needs of modern cars. Therefore, the new generation of automotive E/E architecture needs to be comprehensively upgraded from the core perspective. He emphasized that the architecture is based on advanced chip technology and system engineering methods, and requires the following characteristics:
High performance computing: Utilizing powerful chips and high-performance computing technology to achieve fast processing and execution of various complex algorithms in automobiles.
High integration and lower power consumption: Highly integrating various electronic control units (ECU) in automobiles to reduce the number of wiring harnesses and connectors, and improve the reliability and safety of the vehicle.
Intelligent perception: Using advanced sensors and perception technology to achieve comprehensive perception and real-time monitoring of the vehicle’s surrounding environment.
Safety, reliability, and stability: Ensuring the safety and reliability of the new generation automotive E/E architecture in complex and ever-changing driving environments.
iStarChip Semiconductor adopted highly integrated, scalable, and reconfigurable chip designs for the new generation automotive E/E architecture to support diverse application scenarios including autonomous driving, intelligent driving assistance, and vehicle networking, etc. In the future, we will continue to adhere to innovation as the driving force, actively deploy cutting-edge technologies in the automotive electronics field in order to provide higher quality products and services for the global automotive industry.
