After the iStarChip Semiconductor engineering team obtained the ISO 26262 qualification certification, the good news came again, and the engineer team sent by our company passed the next city, and won the ISO/SAE 21434 network security qualification certification.

In mid-December 2022, engineers from each of iStarChip’s domestic subsidiaries and subsidiaries participated in the ISO/SAE 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity professional qualification training course. Through the systematic training of Rheinland experts, the iStarChip team has learned and mastered the knowledge of vehicle cybersecurity risk management, and has a deep understanding of the relevance of threat analysis and risk assessment, safety concepts, safety specifications, and verification and validation throughout the product life cycle. Due to the usual accumulation and excellent learning ability, the engineers took the certification exam after class, and achieved 100% pass!

As the first standard for the automotive industry to address on-road vehicle cybersecurity, ISO/SAE 21434 was officially published by ISO and SAE on August 31, 2021. It marks the beginning of the standardization stage of technical compliance and supervision of automotive cybersecurity. The standard integrates cybersecurity throughout the vehicle design lifecycle and specifies cybersecurity risk management requirements for road vehicles, their components, and the entire engineering, providing developers with a comprehensive approach to implementing security safeguards throughout the supply chain.
